Refund and cancellation policy

Scope

This policy applies to professional fees and deposits for Clouddatax financial auditing, interim review, internal control assessment, and related assurance engagements. It does not cover products, merchandise, or software subscriptions — we do not sell those.

Engagement deposits

Engagement letters typically require a planning deposit before fieldwork begins. The deposit reserves team capacity for your closing window and covers early planning work.

Cancellation by the client

If you cancel in writing before planning work has started, we refund the deposit in full within 14 business days by the original payment method where possible. If planning has started but fieldwork has not, we may retain a portion of the deposit reflecting hours already incurred, and refund the remainder. Once fieldwork has begun, fees for work performed are non-refundable; unused prepaid amounts after deducting work performed may be refunded at our discretion documented in writing.

Rescheduling

If you need to move fieldwork dates, tell us as soon as possible. One reschedule within the same reporting season is usually accommodated without a new deposit, subject to capacity. Repeated postponements that force us to release your slot may be treated as a cancellation under the rules above.

No-shows and access failures

If agreed fieldwork dates arrive and required access, documents, or contacts are not available without prior notice, we may charge for scheduled team time and travel already committed. Those charges are non-refundable.

Work already started

Hours spent on planning, risk assessment, testing, review, and reporting are billable as described in the engagement letter. Completed deliverables (for example, an issued review report) are non-refundable.

Clouddatax-initiated changes

If we must withdraw for independence, capacity, or professional reasons before substantial fieldwork, we refund unused deposits after deducting documented costs already incurred. If we miss an agreed milestone solely due to our scheduling error, we will discuss fee adjustment in good faith.

Partial refunds

Partial refunds may apply when scope is reduced by mutual written agreement before the related work is performed. Expanding scope is handled by a revised fee quote, not by this refund policy alone.

Processing time and method

Approved refunds are processed within 14 business days of approval. Refunds return to the original payer via bank transfer or the original card channel when available. Currency is New Taiwan dollars unless the engagement letter states otherwise.

Disputes

Fee disputes are first addressed through the engagement partner. Nothing in this policy limits mandatory rights under Taiwanese law.
